Everton Football Club is a professional English football club and is in the city of Liverpool. It is one of the founding clubs for the League and is currently fifth in the League standings. It has won the Championship nine times, and has one the FA Cup five times and the UEFA once. They last won a major trophy in 1995.

The club was founded in 1878, and has a strong rivalry with the Liverpool football club, with matches between the two being known as the Merseyside Derby. Everton’s home stadium is at Goodison Park and has been since 1892, and they are currently considering building a new stadium in Kirkby. The club has an extremely large fan base as it is one of the oldest clubs in the league.

Many famous footballers have had careers at Everton before being transferred or sold to other clubs. Included in this is Dixie Dean who has the record for the most goals scored in a single season, 60 goals in thirty nine games. Wayne Rooney also has had a career at Everton Football Club before being transferred to Manchester United. The colours for the team are royal blue shirts, with white shorts and white socks.

Everton has had its ups and downs as a football club, with some periods of success and many bad years in between. However, the latest manager has moved the club from fifteenth in the league to the fifth position so fans remain hopeful that the club will continue performing well.
