Everton Football Club is a professional English football club and is in the city of Liverpool. It is one of the founding clubs for the League and is currently fifth in the League standings. It has won the Championship nine times, and has one the FA Cup five times and the UEFA once. They last won a major trophy in 1995.

The club was founded in 1878, and has a strong rivalry with the Liverpool football club, with matches between the two being known as the Merseyside Derby.
